Lovers, come back to your senses!
I will be taking jewelry metalsmithing again for the last time this summer. Remember those garnets I brought before, I finally know what I will do for my next project, which is a bracelet. I have an old bracelet I never finished and will somehow squeeze a ring before class is done. SOMEHOW. I will be taking a short enameling class before I am done for jewelry class for a while.

Finished the draft. It took forever to do. Will post a color version later.

More WIPs for future projects. Top one is for a necklace, the bottom is for a bracelet.

My newest project. I’m reaching for a summery island feel. At first I was going to make the flowers fuchsia but after falling in love with this Island Breeze drink at Island Salad in Harlem (on the corner of 131st and Lenox Ave, btw), I decided that I would decided that I will based it on the lovely colors of this drink instead~!

My first finished enamel pendant. Real proud of it, one done in natural light, the othe with a little photo shoot kit that my family member let me borrow.

Another enameling project preview. This time, it’s a pendant done in champleve~! It looks horrid right now but it will be a beaut when done.

WIP of my enameling project. I swear to catch up on my WIP diary soon. It’s obvious what it is~!

They’re Liberty of London Hello Kitty jewelry tins I brought like a couple of months ago. I was happy with them until I found a nice jewelry box from The Container Store that was much bigger so they became obsolete just like that. I’m giving two of them away (see pictured) to a friend who can give them more love than me (although I am keeping one for a tin I can take on my vacations and the like).
But I love this Apple Tree pattern so much (and you can clearly see, lol).

A new chain for my pendant. Cute, huh?

My (Backwards) Adventures Into Beginner Jewelry Design, Week 6 (July 16), Part 1:

Since I finished my earrings and started a new project in the same class, I decided to split the posts into two parts. And there’s a third post for the day coming up since I took my make up class last week (and will be labeled Week 7).

Okay, Monday was the day I was finally putting the earrings to rest. After vigorously taking off the sticker residence, I finally managed to do a matte finish on the branch. Meh, I didn’t know it would take some of the branchy detail off the earrings, but I was still happy with it. So I re-tripoli the earrings for the 191982373th time and put some rouge on the silver ball and leaves and wah-la! Done!

It took me 11 classes to finish this so I am very ecstatic and in love with my earrings, flaws and all. It taught me a lot during this things. My longest project to date.

Now we are ready to make a bracelet~!
